glock 21s

Glock 21s - Noted for its accuracy and light recoil, the GLOCK 21SF features the legendary stopping power of the .45 AUTO round with a 13-round magazine capacity. Countless law enforcement units swear by the G21SF pistol, and that's why the powerful, lightweight, all-weather workhorse is standard issue from the North Pole to the South Pole. The SF model reduces the circumference of the rear receiver, or "backstrap," offering greater comfort and control—especially for shooters with smaller hands.

According to Atlantic Tactical's distribution agreement with GLOCK, Law Enforcement Blue Label pistols can only be sold to individuals in the following states: PA, NY, NJ, MA, MD, DC, VA

Remember that firearms can cause serious injury or death if careless. Make gun safe handling a habit to follow at all times. Once you determine that the gun is unloaded, continue to operate it as if it were loaded.

Bundle (clip + Trigger Sheath)

When choosing a safe direction, you should also consider that a bullet can bounce off anything it hits, and that bullets can go through walls, ceilings, floors, and windows.

3) Keep your finger away from the gun's trigger guard and trigger until you can safely aim the gun and decide to fire.

By keeping your finger completely off the trigger guard until you're on target, you guarantee that any shot you fire will travel safely in the direction of the intended target.

Remember that a bullet can travel several miles, so you need to be sure what your bullet is going to hit before you pull the trigger. Do not shoot at movement, noise, flashes of color, or rustling bushes without positively identifying your target. These include the Glock Model 20 10mm and Glock Model 21 .45 ACP pistols. Introduced in 1990, the Model 21 in .45 ACP competes with other large-caliber handguns in police service. Americans tend to demand more punch in defensive weapons, and my views on this matter are entirely American.

The pistol was well received. Great reliability and accuracy are great selling points. Another strong point is that the magazine holds 13 rounds of .45 ACP, giving the pistol a total capacity of 14.

One disadvantage of the pistol is its size. Female shooters with small hands and long fingers usually do well with the Glock 21, although experience and a good familiarity with the type are important. Although the pistol is bulky due to the polymer frame, it is quite light.

Looking at the whole picture, the Glock offers significant firepower in a lightweight package. For example, the original Colt 1911 Government Model of the same caliber weighed 39 ounces. The current service pistol, the 9mm Beretta 92, weighs 35 ounces and offers 15 rounds of the less effective 9mm cartridge.

Another advantage of Glock is simplicity. The safety-action design offers only one trigger action to learn, unlike double-action, first-shot pistols, which require you to learn both double- and single-action fire. No manual safety.

The trigger lever is not a true safety; it's a drop safety designed to prevent inertia from moving the trigger when you lower the gun. When you raise the slide while holding the trigger forward under pressure, the Glock engages the safety action trigger. The striker or firing pin rotates slightly at this point. By continuously pressing the trigger, the striker presses the rear, resists the pressure of the spring and flies forward, firing the pistol. As the slide is pulled back, the action gets a little stronger and you can fire the pistol with another short pull of the trigger.

The Glock action safe has proven reliability in action and offers a trigger that is easy to learn quickly. While there is no manual safety, the real safety is between the ears, and the Glock shooter must understand to keep his finger off the trigger until he is ready to fire.

The Glock Model 21 has proven to be as reliable as any other Glock pistol, indicating that reliability is of a high standard. Compared to other .45 ACP pistols, the Glock Model 21 offers a medium-feeling recoil. Despite its light weight, the polymer frame provides low recoil and the large grip distributes recoil in the palm. The Glock Model 21 is one of the lightest recoilless pistols chambered in .45 ACP.

Combined with a lower bore axis than many others, the result is a pistol that is controllable and accurate in combat shooting. The Glock Model 21 is also one of the most consistently accurate Glock pistols. Some Glock models are not known for great accuracy, and the Model 21 often delivers excellent results.

Like all quality pistols, the Glock Model 21 performs better with one type of ammunition than another, but the level of accuracy is usually high for a service-grade pistol. Reliability of the round is good with all ammo. +P grade ammo is not recommended for several reasons.

Many will note that the pistol pictured is one of the first Glock Model 21s. Newer versions have an improved grip with finger grooves. The latest pistols have interchangeable grips and are much more accurate than my original version.

The same old Model 21 is still available. I highly recommend looking for new versions; I have never seen a bad M21 and the new ones are much better.

When testing the Glock Model 21 used in this feature, I put it in a Don Hume service grade finger break holster. It's a great, well-rounded design that strikes a good balance of speed and durability.

The illustrated Glock pistol fired thousands of rounds during its service life. For the purposes of this review, I fired it with various service grade bullets.

Glock introduced the G21 SF (Short Frame) in 2007 to compete for the DOD contract.
